How Is a Decorative Arch Built?
First, the opening is measured and an arch form is chosen to suit the ceiling height — segmental arches suit lower ceilings, while semicircular and elliptical forms look best in airy spaces. A drywall profile frame is built within the non-load-bearing section, and the curve is clad with template-cut drywall. The joints are taped and skimmed with plaster; the arch surface is sanded until it merges seamlessly with the wall. Finally, primer and paint are applied — the arch looks like a natural extension of the wall.

The most requested applications: kitchen-living room transitions, hallway openings, entrance halls, fireplace and TV unit niches, and balcony door surrounds. Alongside the arch, we also build complementary details such as wall niches, concealed LED lighting channels and decorative column capitals. Frequently Asked Questions
Can an arch be built on any wall?
Arches are easily applied to openings in non-load-bearing partition walls. On load-bearing walls, the existing opening is preserved and only a form cladding is applied; we assess this on site at the visit.
Will the arch crack?
An arch built with the right profile frame, joint tape and plaster skim does not crack. This system is standard in all our work.
How many days does it take?
A single doorway arch is usually completed in 2-3 days including paint (and plaster drying times).
